What is the emergency contraceptive pill?
The emergency contraceptive pill, often called "the morning after pill", is a pill that you take after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. It is now available without prescription in Ireland, and is available from Cunningham's Pharmacy.
How do I get the emergency contraceptive / morning after pill?

You can now fill in our Emergency Contraception Form online in advance. You still need to call into the pharmacy in person to pick it up but your consultation with our pharmacist should only take a few minutes as the form has been completed in advance.If you include your mobile on the form our pharmacist will ring you in advance to advise you which emergency contraceptive is suitable for you.
Call into our stores
If you would prefer you can just call in without filling in the form in advance. Our trained pharmacist will then take you through a few simple questions in our private consultation room to ascertain if the emergency contraceptive / morning after pill is suitable for you. The whole process shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes and doesn't require an appointment.
